Now the government will give an incentive on intercaste marriage in Rajasthan. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had recently announced this in the budget as well. On Thursday, the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment has issued instructions to increase the amount of Dr. Savita Ben Ambedkar Intercaste Marriage Scheme by Rs. 5 lakh. Earlier, the government used to give an incentive of Rs 5 lakh on intercaste marriage.
The issued instructions will be applicable from today itself, under which Rs 10 lakh will be given to the couples who do intercaste marriage. Out of this amount, Rs 5 lakh will be made as fixed deposit for 8 years. While the remaining Rs 5 lakh will be deposited by creating a joint bank account of the bride and groom. Let us inform that CM Ashok Gehlot had announced to increase the amount in the budget of 2023-24.
Under the scheme, one of the boys and girls should belong to the Scheduled Caste category. Anyone who is not more than 35 years of age, should not have been convicted in any criminal case.
A marriage registration certificate issued by the competent authority or officer’s office should be the proof of marriage of the couple doing inter-caste marriage.
The combined income of the couple should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh per annum. Such couple should not have received any financial benefit in the parallel scheme of the Central and State Government.
The benefit under the scheme will be payable if the application is received within a period of one year from the date of marriage. The benefit of the scheme will be available only on the first marriage of the young man and the girl.

Copy of Aadhaar card and Bhamashah card of the couple.

Copy of death certificate of husband in case of widow.
First of all Rajasthan SJMS portal has to go to https://sjmsnew.rajasthan.gov.in/.
Click on the SJMS SMS option on the portal so that you reach https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in/signin portal.
New users are required to register themselves first by clicking on the Registration link. https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in/register
After which after opening the SSO ID, click on the ‘Citizen’ section and click on the link of SJMS Application.
Fill the information asked in the application form correctly and click on the submit button.
You can take advantage of this scheme within 1 year of marriage. Applications made after one year are not accepted.
