Troubled by the mess, the government school children in Shobhagpura of the city blocked the Shobhagpura main road. Children say that for two months the garbage is not being picked up in the area, due to which people are worried. Auto tippers are not coming into the area, due to which garbage is being collected and dirt is being created. Children say that they are not able to study due to the presence of garbage on the side of the main road near the school. Due to the accumulation of cattle, there is always a possibility of an accident, while there is also a fear of spreading diseases due to the breeding of mosquitoes and flies. Distressed by this, a large number of people of the area gathered around 11 am on Friday. Schoolchildren also joined them. Parents say that some children have also become ill. More than 100 children and people sat in the middle of the road. This stopped the movement of both lanes.
People also raised slogans against UIT and the administration. As soon as the jam was detected, the police station reached Sukher. The jawans tried to explain, but these people did not agree. Stuck on the demand of calling all the responsible officers. People coming out of this area had to pass through the streets. Later representatives from UIT came and assured that the cleaning would be done soon and would be kept regular. Then the student agreed and opened the jam. Along with warned that if there is dirt again, then this time there will be a fierce movement.
Vehicles is closed for two months, and garbage collection vehicles are not coming in this area for two months. Auto tippers are not reaching about a dozen colonies including Shobhagpura, Bhuvana, Meera Nagar, Chitrakoot Nagar, Kesar Vihar, Nakoda Puram, and Burhani Nagar for two months. Nearby restaurants and hotels dump their waste there at night. On the other hand, the situation is similar in the colonies as well. Due to the non-availability of garbage collection vehicles, people are dumping in vacant plots. These people were also giving 50-50 rupees every month to the auto-tipper drivers.
